Aboriginal Family Support Services (AFSS) is a lead, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that has been providing services to Aboriginal families and communities across South Australia for over 40 years.
Cultural Services Program
The Administration and Project Support Officer play a critical role in supporting organisational change and culturally responsive transformation across AFSS. Delivers high-quality administrative and coordination support and process improvements. Supports best practice and continuous improvement processes by maintaining clear communication, accurate documentation, and efficient project support.
This program will be based in Adelaide SA 5000.
Your new role
The Administration and Project Support Officer are to provide high-level administrative and coordination support to assist the smooth delivery of strategic projects and day-to-day operations in the team. Involves a combination of administrative management, project assistance, and coordination of internal processes to support culturally safe and effective service delivery in collaboration with senior staff and program teams. A high level of organisational and communication skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders are vital to the role.
Who we are looking for
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in planning and delivering workshops, training sessions, and community & stakeholder engagement events.
- Work closely with the Cultural Services team to ensure all communications and activities reflect cultural safety and respect.
- Act as a central point of contact between departments, ensuring smooth information flow.
- Actively demonstrating a commitment to Service Excellence across AFSS.
To be successful you will need
- A South Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A NDIS Workers Check
- National Police Clearance
- A Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate
- A current South Australian Drivers Licence
- Unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia
- Qualifications in Certificate IV in Community Services/Youth Work or equivalent
