About the role

Mr John Tours is seeking a friendly and professional Japanese Speaking Driver Guide to join our team in the heart of Melbourne. This casual role offers flexibility to fit around your schedule, while giving you the chance to share Melbourne’s best attractions with our Japanese-speaking guests.

What you’ll do

Safely operate a comfortable mini-bus, driving small groups to iconic destinations such as the Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island, Dandenong Ranges, and Yarra Valley.

Deliver engaging, informative, and culturally-appropriate commentary in Japanese, bringing each location to life.

Recommend local highlights, hidden gems, and authentic experiences.

Ensure guests’ comfort, assist with light luggage, and provide outstanding customer service throughout the day.

Work closely with our operations team to ensure tours run smoothly and professionally.

What we’re looking for

Fluency or very high competence in both Japanese and English

Valid Australian driver’s licence with a safe driving record (minibus or van experience highly regarded).

At least 2 years’ driving experience, ideally with tourism or hospitality background.

Good knowledge of Melbourne’s landmarks, history, and culture.

Strong customer service skills, adaptable to diverse cultural backgrounds.

Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Desirable: LR licence, First Aid Certificate, and previous guiding,driving or hospitiality experience.
