About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Barista & Store Supervisor to join our team at Broadway Bakery in Nedlands, WA. As Head Barista, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy café and leading a team of talented baristas. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of customer service and the consistent delivery of our exceptional coffee and food offerings.

What you'll be doing

Manage and lead a team of baristas, providing training, guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer service and coffee quality

Oversee all café operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and adherence to health and safety standards

Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, increase sales, and enhance the overall customer experience

Collaborate with the management team to drive the development and implementation of new menu items and seasonal offerings

Maintain a positive and professional work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a barista or in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team

Proficient in the preparation of a wide range of coffee and espresso-based beverages

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
