We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Program Coordinator to support our Prison Ministry initiatives. This part-time role focuses on court support, post-release support, and volunteer engagement.
The Program Coordinator will play a key role in developing and implementing programs that reflect our mission and values, while building strong relationships with stakeholders and contributing to the growth and impact of the ministry.
The role has flexible hours but will require occasional travel and evening and weekend commitments.
Your part in our UnitingCare team
Design, implement and deliver programs to support individuals post-release and during court proceedings, in alignment with service agreements
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of volunteers
Develop and facilitate training programs and workshops to uplift capability of volunteers
Extensive stakeholder engagement with correctional facilities, courts, community organisations and churches
Lead negotiations to formalise partnership agreements that support program delivery
Collect and analyse data to monitor programs for strategic adjustments, and review outcomes to inform continuous improvement
Maintain accurate records of program activities, volunteer involvement, and
stakeholder engagement
What makes a difference for us?
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Chaplaincy, Pastoral Care, Social Work or Community Services (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly desirable)
Current drivers licence
An agile approach to working; process driven but with the ability to flex to changing priorities
Proficiency in general office administration, including solid working
knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems
Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals and those with
diverse and complex needs
A genuine passion and commitment to prison ministry
