We are seeking a motivated professional to join the Gregadoo Waste Management Centre team as the Resource Recovery Contract & Service Delivery Officer.

In this key role, you will manage waste contracts, support strategic project delivery, and provide high-level administrative and customer service support. You will coordinate contract management, support daily facility operations, assist with data analysis, and foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders whilst ensuring continuous process improvements as part of your responsibilities.

  • Remuneration package of $3,239.86 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,887.83 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Key Responsibilities:

As the Resource Recovery Contract & Service Delivery Officer, you will be responsible to:

  • Support and coordinate strategic deliverables in conjunction with management, this would entail guiding projects that align with Councils' strategic goals, supporting internal procedures, and tracking program delivery.
  • Provide project management administration support across GWMC including project planning, risk management and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide support through research, analysis, statistical data and data management activities for improved outcomes of the business unit.
  • Undertake contractor administration in conjunction with the management including but not limited to managing Council's key contracts, preparation and delivery of contract management plans, oversee deliverables and work towards continuous improvement.
  • Lead, support and manage the team to ensure daily administration tasks are carried out for the facility, including contamination management, purchase orders, invoicing, email inbox, response to requests, reporting, monitoring and record keeping, applications, agendas/minutes and general administration tasks as required.
  • Support the GWMC team to utilise Council's corporate systems and processes for recording correspondence and documentation.
  • Foster collaboration and communication among team members and key stakeholders to maintain a high level of delivery.
  • Provide support to the Waste Education Officer in the coordination of education workshops and programs for the community.
  • Provide clear and accurate advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters.
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with Council's Customer Service Team to ensure accurate waste service information is consistently provided to customers.
  • Support and seek continual business and process improvements for the GWMC Facility and provide support to management as required.
  • Ensure written procedures are developed in line with all tasks associated with the role, and seek opportunities for continuous improvement to processes, procedures, systems and operations.
  • Provide high-level administration rights for site software, required to research and ensure systems and processes are current and relevant.
  • Oversight and management of all sites floats, cash, and reconciliation processes.
  • Perform other duties in support of the GWMC team as directed, relevant to skills, competence and training.

Essential Requirements of the Position:

As the successful applicant, you will bring a strong mix of qualifications, skills and professional experience, including:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Business, Business Administration, Project Management Practice and/or related discipline and/or demonstrated professional experience relevant to the role.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • General Construction Induction Training Card.
  • Demonstrated experience, skills, and knowledge relevant to the role, including but not limited to: Business administration; Project management including project planning and deliverables; and Organisational and time management skills i.e., an ability to organise and prioritise workloads, and to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in the use of computer systems, Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages; and
  • Experience leading and working effectively in a team and independently.
