Immediate Start – Domestic Assistant (Part Time)

Care For You at Home is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our flexible Care Team. What is the purpose of this role?
The Domestic Assistant provides essential household support to clients in their homes. This includes cleaning, laundry, minor meal preparation, and maintaining a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment, while respecting client privacy and dignity.

Your responsibilities:

Perform domestic duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, mirrors, and glass.

Wash and care for client clothes and linen.

Assist with minor meal preparation as required.

Safely handle cleaning equipment and materials.

Follow infection control, manual handling, and WHS guidelines.

Maintain accurate documentation in client records.

Attend training sessions and complete mandatory learning modules.

Support a positive and professional environment for clients and the care team.

Skills and experience:

Essential:

Previous experience in domestic cleaning or community/home care.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

Current driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Working with Children Check.

NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Ability to exercise initiative and judgment where practice is not clearly defined.

Completion of manual handling, infection control, and relevant training.

Desirable:

Experience supporting people with disabilities or age-related conditions.

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email, internet).
