Are you a CPA-qualified finance leader who wants to make a real difference?
We're looking for a hands-on Commercial Director to join a purpose-driven not-for-profit and help shape the financial and commercial future of our organisation.

The Role

As the Commercial Director, you'll lead a small, capable finance team (covering finance operations and payroll) and act as a trusted commercial advisor to the CEO. You'll provide the financial insights that underpin our strategic direction and help us unlock new revenue streams through grants, partnerships, and innovative funding channels.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on both detail and strategy.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a small finance team to deliver accurate reporting, payroll, and compliance.
• Provide expert financial and commercial advice to the CEO and Board.
• Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and audit.
• Drive commercial opportunities and revenue diversification, including grant development.
• Present financial insights and business cases that support growth and impact.

What You Bring

• CPA (or CA) qualification with proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong track record in managing small finance teams, including payroll and finance ops.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financials into clear insights.
• Experience advising executives and Boards on financial strategy and commercial opportunities.
• Knowledge of not-for-profit finance, compliance, and funding models.
