Exhibition Director – Flagship Home Shows

We are continuing to grow and are now seeking an Exhibition Director to lead the sales and delivery of our flagship Melbourne and Sydney Home Shows – Australia’s largest events for home renovation and building. These iconic shows are the cornerstone of our portfolio, attracting over 100,000 engaged homeowners annually and representing the highest-profile events in the business.
Based in Hawthorn, with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home), plus an optional 9 day working fortnight, this senior role carries both commercial and leadership responsibility. You will take ownership of revenue growth, lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, and ensure exhibitors achieve success. As part of the company’s leadership team, you will also contribute strategically to the growth of the business, working closely with peers across sales, marketing and operations to shape the future of the Home Shows and the wider portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven exhibition professional with a passion for home renovation, interiors and design, and a talent for building teams and events that inspire.
Key responsibilities:
Lead, coach and mentor a sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Drive new business growth while ensuring exhibitor retention and strong rebooking rates
Implement structured sales processes, pipeline management and performance reviews
Provide hands-on training and development to lift capability across the sales team
Oversee exhibition operations, including floorplans, stand allocations and onsite delivery
Act as a senior point of contact for key exhibitors, building long-term commercial partnerships
Work with the leadership team to set event strategy and contribute to the growth of the wider business
Partner with marketing and operations to maximise exhibitor ROI and deliver innovative show features
Monitor budgets, sales performance and reporting to ensure the commercial success of the flagship Home Shows
What we’re looking for:
Demonstrated success in leading, coaching and motivating a sales team
Proven track record in driving revenue growth in exhibitions, expos or large-scale events (mandatory)
Experience in B2C or consumer-focused sales environments
A genuine passion for home renovation, interiors and design, with an interest in the latest trends and innovations
Exceptional leadership, communication and people-development skills
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to set and achieve ambitious sales targets
Highly organised, resilient and proactive, thriving under pressure
A collaborative team player who embraces company values and culture
A car and current driver’s licence (essential)
CRM experience (Salesforce or Zoho ideal)

Above-industry base salary + super, with uncapped commission potential
