The Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) is a leading education provider in the Canberra and southern NSW region. About the role
Principals of Catholic schools are called to live and promote the Vision, to share and witness to Catholic faith and traditions, build inclusive communities and deliver contemporary quality learning opportunities for every person.
Hennessy Catholic College is a comprehensive Catholic school for students from Years 7 to 12. The college proudly caters to students from Young, Boorowa, Cootamundra, Harden-Murrumburrah, Grenfell, and surrounding towns. About 45 per cent of students live in surrounding towns.
Founded on the charisms of the Presentation Sisters and Christian Brothers in 1925, Hennessy has a proud tradition of addressing community and student needs. In 2000, the college extended its student base to include Years 11 and 12 to serve the wider Catholic communities in the South West Slopes.
The Principal of Hennessy leads a team of 70 employees and a student cohort of 426*.
CECG is seeking candidates who can commit to the purpose of our schools, namely “To be leading Catholic communities that nurture each person's God-given potential through teaching and service.”
CECG is also looking for a Principal who will actively engage with the community and grow school enrolments under their leadership.

Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies or the willingness to undertake studies and complete within four years of appointment.
- Academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education (Master’s degree or five-year equivalent).
- NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- NESA Accreditation
