Position: Disability Support Worker (SIL)

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities.

Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.

Promoting independence and supporting individuals in developing essential life skills.

Engaging individuals in meaningful social and recreational activities.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation and reporting any significant observations or incidents.

Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for individuals under your care.

Requirements:

Previous experience in disability support or a related field is highly desirable.

A genuine passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a commitment to improving their quality of life.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassion, empathy, and the ability to build trust with individuals.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a relevant qualification.
