An exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Digital Communications Officer with our client in Coffs Harbour!
Hours per week: Up to 35 hours per week
Pay Rate (includes casual loading): $35.15
Assignment Dates: ASAP start
Purpose of this role:
To facilitate the delivery of our clients’ digital communications and communications content creation for external and internal customers. Specifically, the position will have a focus on ensuring our clients digital communications and content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the development and maintenance of Council’s corporate website and other digital platforms that enhance internal and external communications.
Create photographic and video content for the City’s digital platforms, including social media.
Assist with web system upgrades and undertake required testing to ensure performance and functionality expectations are met.
Use analytics to support the development of more effective communication plans and better use of existing communication channels
Review proposed digital content to ensure messaging is clear and concise.
Provide training to relevant staff required to maintain and update information for the corporate website.
Provide support to assist in the delivery of strategic communication plans.
Ensure all digital content consistently aligns to the City’s brand identity, and proactively promotes the City’s brand and corporate style.
Knowledge and Capabilities:
Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to a variety of different council business units.
Knowledge of digital marketing tactics such as search engine optimisation (SEO), social media marketing and email marketing.
Demonstrated experience in using content management systems.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Demonstration of critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgement and solve problems promptly and effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work tasks.
Demonstrated knowledge and interest in communication technology and applications.
Mandatory Requirements:
Qualifications in communications or an equivalent combination of relevant contemporary experience and/or education/training particularly in a communications role.
Demonstrated experience in managing digital platforms that enhance internal and external communications.
Demonstrated experience developing engaging photographic and video content for promotional purposes.
Current drivers licence
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
Must have two work related references
