We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical/Design Engineer - B. Eng (Mech) - to join us in our Melbourne Head Office.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for creating project based design work for the crane industry. The role will include liaising with customers and Production, developing concepts from building drawings and designing the crane for manufacture.

This is a role that requires an individual with excellent communication and strong customer relationship skills, and we are ideally looking for recent graduates. Of course, candidates with up to 3 years’ experience are also encouraged to apply, as the role will grow and expand in terms of projects and responsibility within the project as your experience and acquisition of knowledge of our product and industry increases.

As you will be a point of contact for our customers this position requires a professional person with initiative and a 'can do' mentality, diligence and a professional manner is essential to ensure we provide the highest levels of customer service.

You will naturally be a team player and thrive in a fast paced design environment, whilst maintaining a strong focus on detail and high quality output. Your written and spoken English will be exemplary, and you will have an aptitude for Mechanical and Structural Calculations, CAD drafting (CREO and Draftsight) and an overall idea of manufacturing processes.

As our industry requires, you may be required to work at heights and attend heavy industrial sites, any relevant licenses or qualifications will be well regarded.
