Role: ServiceNow ITSM Developer/Administrator
Location: flexible
Employment type: day rate contract role, with potential to move to permanent in the future
Pay rate: $800-$900 a day inc super
Contract duration: 6 months
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITSM Developer/Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining our existing ServiceNow platform, including partner integrations. Beyond ServiceNow, the role will also involve leveraging adjacent data sources and cloud automation skills to streamline integrations, optimise workflows, and support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The ServiceNow Lead Developer will be responsible for, but not limited, to:
- Develop existing ServiceNow Cloud instances, including partner integrations, to raise CMDB maturity.
- Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers to facilitate improvements and enhancements, including data input processes, data quality and other asset-related features.
- Develop customised Asset Register Forms & Reports.
- Provide technical support for ServiceNow cloud instances.
- Document all technical designs, specifications, and knowledge transfer materials.
Qualifications Required:
- 3–5 years’ experience as a ServiceNow Developer/Administrator.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules, features and licensing options.
- Proficiency with scripting and data cleansing activities.
- Experience managing ServiceNow upgrades and system administration tasks.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM best practices.
- Strong SQL/database skills for reporting, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and automation (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred/Nice to Have:
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-ITSM, CAD, or similar).
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and CI/CD integration with ServiceNow.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration platforms.
- Exposure to ITOM modules (Event Management, Orchestration, Cloud Management).
