About the role

NextGen Early Learning Centre is seeking experienced Childcare Centre Chefs to join our teams in Harrington Park & Spring Farm, NSW. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

Plan and prepare a variety of healthy, balanced meals and snacks in compliance with nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements

Manage food ordering, inventory, and storage to ensure optimal quality and freshness

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborate with the centre management team to develop seasonal menus and accommodate special dietary needs

Provide a positive and engaging mealtime experience for the children

What we're looking for

Formal culinary training or equivalent experience

Demonstrated experience in planning and preparing meals for children in an early learning or healthcare setting

Strong understanding of food safety, nutrition, and dietary requirements for young children

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with centre staff

Creativity and a passion for providing a positive dining experience for children

Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain one
