About the role

As a Chef at Leura Gourmet, you will be responsible for creating a high standard experience for our customers. This full-time role is located in the Blue Mountains, Leura, NSW.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Maintaining high standards of food presentation and portion control

Assisting in menu development and testing new recipes

Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains strict food safety and hygiene standards

Providing guidance to junior members of the kitchen team

Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional customer experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a restaurant or cafe environment

Strong technical cooking skills and an understanding of different cooking methods and techniques

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

A passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create innovative and delicious meals

A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
