As BDM, you will harness all avenues to drive growth and deliver customer value. The following list of responsibilities is stating the obvious for a BDM role but it is important that you recognise that this role is unfettered sales with a wide scope and very clear vision:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline
- Lead end-to-end sales activities including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, Ops Managers).
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
- Stay up to date industry regulations and sector trends to position our products.
- Develop a strong understanding of our products, their features, and their value proposition
- Conduct tailored product demonstrations in collaboration with solution consultants.
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, shaping solutions to address business challenges.
- Work closely with marketing on lead generation campaigns and messaging.
- Provide regular forecasts, pipeline updates, and insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with product and customer success teams to ensure feedback from prospects informs product development.
