Opportunities

Opportunity 1 – 32 to 38 hours per week (Experienced Candidate)

Based mainly at Mount Hutton, with occasional shifts at Edgeworth or Merewether.

Retail customer service experience is essential.

Cash handling experience is essential.

Australia Post retail experience is preferred but not required.

Competitive hourly rates as per the General Retail Award (based on age & experience).

Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time available for the right candidate.

Must be available Monday–Friday, 8:45am – 5:00pm.

Full on-the-job + online training provided.

Opportunity 2 – 12 to 20 hours per week (Junior Candidates – 2 roles available)

Based mainly at Edgeworth and Merewether, with occasional shifts at Mount Hutton.

We are seeking two candidates for an initial 3-month probation period. Based on performance, one candidate will be offered an ongoing role.

Retail customer service experience is highly regarded (not mandatory).

Must be able to count large sums of cash accurately and efficiently.

Competitive hourly rates as per the General Retail Award (based on age & experience).

Permanent Part-Time or Ongoing Casual role available for the successful candidate post probation.

Must be available Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Full on-the-job + online training provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

Performing product sales and service transactions.

Handling high-value cash, card, cheque, and EFTPOS transactions accurately.

Assisting with mail lodgments and parcel lodgments.

Promoting products & services through up-selling, cross-selling, and merchandising.

Building rewarding customer relationships by understanding and meeting their needs.

Conducting identity services transactions (e.g. Passport Interviews, TFN applications).

Assisting with admin duties such as stocktaking and record keeping.

Stock filling, cleaning, and maintaining a tidy retail area.

Following Australia Post’s OHS standards.

Adapting to process improvements for productivity and service growth.

Safely lifting parcels (10–16kg) as required.

What We’re Looking For

Own car/transport & valid driver’s licence (to reach any outlet as rostered).

Friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, and honest.

Previous experience in Retail or Post Office highly regarded.

Good verbal & written communication skills.

Intermediate computer skills (must complete online training modules at home).

Physically fit to lift mail/parcels up to 16kg and stand for long periods.

Team player with a strong customer-first attitude.
