About Us
RaptorTech is building the future of mining automation. Through our RaptorOS platform, we deliver a disruptive Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) model that makes advanced autonomy affordable and scalable across the mining sector. Our systems integrate robotics, computer vision, control, fleet optimisation, and collision avoidance into a single modular ecosystem.
With proven deployments of our technology, we deliver immediate and sustained ROI for customers – boosting productivity, cutting downtime, and reducing emissions by 10–20%. We are scaling rapidly and expanding our cross-disciplinary engineering team to accelerate development of next-generation autonomous mining solutions.
The Role
We are looking for mixed discipline roles in our Robotics & Automation Engineering team, you will design, test, and deploy the robotics and control systems that power RaptorTech's autonomous mining machines. From robotic haul trucks to precision-guided drills, your work will shape how autonomy is implemented in one of the world's most critical industries.
This role is hands-on, applied, and multi-disciplinary: combining robotics, mechatronics, control systems, and embedded software with deep exposure to the realities of mining operations.
What You'll Do
Design and integrate robotic control algorithms for autonomous haulage, drills, dozers, and excavators.
Develop and test safety-critical automation systems, including braking, guidance, and collision avoidance.
Collaborate with computer vision and perception engineers to fuse GNSS, Lidar, radar, and camera data for machine navigation.
Contribute to digital twin simulations to validate robotics and fleet automation strategies before deployment.
Work closely with mining customers to deploy and validate autonomous systems in live mine environments.
Help refine and expand RaptorOS to support scaling autonomy across fleets and sites.
What We're Looking For
A degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or related engineering field.
Strong foundation in robotics, control, or automation (modelling, kinematics, motion planning, PID/control theory).
Experience with embedded systems, C++/Python, or real-time robotics platforms.
Ability to work across disciplines (vision, perception, fleet optimisation).
Passion for applying robotics to real-world heavy equipment and mining challenges.
Australian work rights or eligibility to work in Australia
Desirable:
Exposure to ROS, simulation environments, or autonomous vehicle systems.
Experience with GNSS, sensor fusion, or safety-critical control systems.
Previous experience in mining, construction, or industrial automation.
Why Join RaptorTech?
Be part of a team combining robotics, vision, AI, and mining expertise into a single disruptive product suite.
Shape technology that is already delivering 10x ROI for customers and is setting a new global benchmark in mining autonomy.
Enjoy challenging technical opportunities for international exposure as RaptorTech expands globally
Contribute to making mining safer, more productive, and more sustainable.
