Reporting directly to the CEO, the Business Manager has the main role of supporting the CEO in managing all areas of business administration, finance, risk management, HR and operations. The Business Manager has the responsibility for ensuring that the administrative and financial services of the organisation are conducted efficiently and ethically in accordance with established standards and such that all statutory and compliance obligations are met.

The broad and strategic nature of this position means that other projects and tasks will from time to time fall into the responsibility of this role. It is expected that in its first year the role will be approximately 8-10 hours a week. The responsibilities of the role are outlined below.

Finances

Execution of Monthly bills, Superannuation and Payroll (must be able to use XERO)

Reporting on actuals vs Budget and other financial reports for CEO, Treasurer and Board

Liaison with accountant and auditor

Monthly meetings with staff, CEO and Treasurer to update the team on how the organisation is tracking against its financial goals

Managing relationship invoicing requirements of International Affiliate Relationship

Liaison with tax department

Ensuring bank account access is managed in accordance with Corporate Governance Requirements

Ensure coding and reports are meaningful and consistent

Monitoring staff on KPI/Performance management

Complete the creation of a staff intranet
