As part of Accor’s Premium brands, Swissôtel Sydney now has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of our banquet kitchen as well as outlets including Ten Stories Restaurant, Arches Bar, In-Room Dining and Executive Lounge. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will inspire your team and showcase creativity across multiple dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Executive Chef in supervising the kitchen and stewarding teams.

Lead food preparation and production, delivering innovative and inspired dishes that exceed guest expectations.

Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and cooking techniques in line with brand standards.

Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP compliance.

Contribute to menu development in line with outlet identity and market trends.

Inspire and encourage team participation in local and national culinary competitions.

Support training and development initiatives to grow the skills of the kitchen team.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in a similar position within a high-volume or premium hospitality environment.

A strong creative flair and passion for culinary innovation.

Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery.

Sound knowledge of current food trends, HACCP standards, and procedures.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.

Flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Full working rights in Australia.
