We're on the lookout for a commercially minded Senior Finance Analyst to join a global FMCG leader in Melbourne's South-East, supporting strategic decision-making through commercial insights, forecasting, and performance analysis. This is a hands-on role with an immediate start, offering exposure to international markets and cross-functional collaboration across finance, sales, and marketing.

Description

• Partner closely with the Commercial Director to lead annual planning, rolling forecasts, and the design of rebate and promotional strategies.
• Deliver timely and insightful commercial reporting, including tracking sales performance against targets and providing monthly, quarterly, and annual outlooks.
• Review and analyse month-end P&Ls with regional and country managers, and support the development of P&Ls for new product initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate promotional effectiveness, manage accruals, and provide financial input into campaign planning.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, identify root causes of performance gaps, and contribute commentary for consolidated financial presentations.
• Participate in management meetings, offering financial insights to support strategic decisions across brands, business lines, and geographies.
• Engage with stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand, the US, and Dublin, requiring strong cross-cultural communication and flexibility across time zones.

Profile

A successful Senior Commercial Analyst should:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA/CA qualified.
• Advanced Power BI, Tablo and excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving skill and communication skills.
• A self-starter who can work independently.
• Exceptional business partnering skills.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable.
