Peninsula Curtains & Blinds is a proud, family-owned business that has been transforming homes on the Mornington Peninsula for over 45 years. As a local market leader in custom window furnishings, we are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Curtain Maker / Sewist to join our talented production team. Experienced industrial sewing but not directly curtain please apply as we can provide training.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sewing experience looking to work in a supportive, hands-on, and creative environment.

About the Role

Based in our Mornington workroom, this role focuses on the production of custom curtains and soft furnishings.

Key tasks include:

Sewing curtains, sheers, and other soft furnishings

Measuring and cutting fabrics to specifications

Operating industrial sewing machinery

Reading and following detailed workroom instructions

Completing quality control checks

Maintaining a clean, organised work area

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

✔️ Experience in curtain making and sewing (preferred Not essential)
✔️ Ability to operate sewing machinery confidently (essential)
✔️ Excellent attention to detail and ability to measure accurately
✔️ Good communication and interpersonal skills
✔️ Strong problem-solving abilities
✔️ Ability to prioritise, work to targets, and meet deadlines
✔️ Physically fit and in good health
✔️ Reliable transportation to our Mornington workroom

Experience in cutting, measuring, and custom curtain production is an advantage.
