Comfort Heat is looking for a full-time Sales and Customer Service Consultant to join our team. You'll handle inbound enquiries, prepare quotes, and support customers throughout their heating projects — no cold calling!
Role Overview
The Sales and Customer Service Consultant will be a first point of contact for customers, responsible for managing enquiries, providing product information, processing orders, and coordinating installations or service calls. In addition, the role will focus on identifying sales opportunities, following up leads, preparing quotations, and building strong customer relationships to drive growth across our Comfort Heat and Warm Floors divisions.
This is a customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, engaging with prospects and customers, and contributing to sales outcomes, while ensuring our customers receive the highest level of support.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage inbound phone and email enquiries, providing product advice and solutions.
· Prepare and follow up on quotations to convert opportunities into sales.
· Manage leads and opportunities in our CRM (Salesforce).
· Coordinate bookings for installations and service calls through our job management system (Ascora).
· Build strong relationships with homeowners, builders, and contractors.
· Support the General Manager and wider team as required.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
· Excellent communication skills, both phone and email.
· Minimum 2-3 years proven experience in sales and/or customer service, with a professional, customer-first approach.
· Strong computer skills - MS Office, CRM/ job management systems (Salesforce and Ascora experience highly regarded).
· Positive attitude, proactive approach, and strong organisational skills.
· Ability to prepare and process quotations, orders, and project documentation.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, follow up, and meet deadlines.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable:
· Experience in a technical, trade, or construction-related industry.
· Knowledge of heating, HVAC, or renewable energy solutions.
· Experience liaising with builders and contractors.
