We are steel reinforcement manufacturing facility operating out of Bennetts Green. We are equipped with the latest manufacturing equipment, semi's and fleet of logistics vehicles. The business is primed and ready to tackle the Newcastle and Hunter steel reinforcements market.
Our existing customer base is local builders, concreters and large commercial developers. We are handling our existing workload and desire continued growth.

We have an existing customer base, which we want a candidate to assist with servicing, we also want an experienced sales professional to grow our customer base.

Ideally we are seeking someone with steel reinforcement industry background. The ideal candidate understands and has experience in the steel / building / concreting industry, they must have some knowledge of steel reinforcement as this what we manufacture and sell.

If your industry experience is limited, please only apply if you are driven to learn about the steel reinforcement industry. We require a fast learner due to how busy the branch is. If the candidate lacks any of the industry experience above the candidate will need to be someone who is dedicated to learning very quickly.

The applicant will need to be experienced with computers in order to process quotes and sales orders using our inventory management system (Cin7). On the job training will be provided, however, an aptitude for computers is essential.

Desirable characteristics and experience:

Experience in the steel reinforcement industry.

A candidate with good computer skills is essential, this role involves entering sales orders.

Someone with a trade-based background or trade experience is beneficial due to familiarity with the products and the industry.

Punctual.

Exceptional people and communication skills (including verbal and written
communication skills).

Attitude- the candidate's attitude must be exceptional. We wish to enhance
our existing positive atmosphere with a team member who will contribute
positively to the current culture.

Customer focused.

Results driven.

Eagerness to learn new skills and apply new knowledge to the business.
Including gaining in depth knowledge of steel reinforcement and in time also increasing our sales of construction chemicals, repair mortars, grouts, waterproofing and epoxy floor coatings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Share the current workload with existing sales staff, this includes face to face customer service, customer service over the phone.

Create sales, work with our customer base to service and support them.

Learn to use our inventory management (sales) system Cin7. On the job
training will be provided.

General customer service tasks including answering the landline phone and serving customers that walk into the shop. This process is the fastest
pathway to learning about our customers and our products. This is a
customer service role.

Provide tenders / estimates to customers as necessary.

Driver's licence is essential, as on site visits to customers will be a regular part of the role.
