Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Research Project Manager to join School of Nursing, Faculty of Health.
The Research Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the research program lead to develop and implement research strategy through the management of program operations, including project management, management of research governance processes, and the development and implementation of strategies that maximise research outcomes and partnerships for the program. The Research Project Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the program including office administration, HR, budgeting and financial reporting, space and physical resources management, communications and marketing, and OH&S, and is the key liaison within the program for the University divisions that oversee these functions including Finance and Resource Planning, Human Resources, Office of Research, and Office of Commercial Services.

What you need to succeed
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in a university, healthcare or research-intensive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor research teams and research processes, including budgets, resource management and research reports, and to conceptualise and develop policies and plans, in order to deliver high quality outcomes in an environment characterised by tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated high level skills in budget development, financial management and cost control to achieve project deliverables, operational and budgetary goals and contractual requirements
- Highly developed organisational skills, initiative and problem-solving ability, including the demonstrated ability to manage projects, people and workflows efficiently to meet agreed work outcomes and deadlines
- High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly consult, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders and senior managers both internal and external to the organisation in a professionally and culturally sensitive manner.
- Demonstrated high level written communication skills including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, plans, correspondence and other relevant documentation using a range of computer applications
