Description

The face of Contour for students and parents.

At Contour, we’re not just about tutoring — we’re about reshaping education. That means building a student and parent experience that feels premium, personal, and unforgettable.

As a Student Experience Coordinator, in this primarily call-based role, you’ll be the bridge between families and Contour. You’ll coach students through challenges, keep parents in the loop, and ensure every family gets maximum value from their Contour journey. Think of yourself as a guide, connector, and advocate, the person who makes sure no student falls through the cracks and every parent feels supported.

If you love people, thrive on building relationships, and want to make a difference in the lives of students, this is the role for you.

Who Are We

We empower students and their studies by providing an ecosystem of highly effective tutoring, resources and support. We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions, presented by experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way. We also supplement these sessions with weekly workshops, complimentary 1-on-1 support and a learning portal with a comprehensive suite of resources and practice material to help students master their subjects.

Over 8,000 students and 250+ team members have joined Contour since our founding in the beginning of 2020. Our growth is a testament to our dedication in providing ALL our students and parents with a premium learning experience (from 24/7 personal support to on-demand resources) and our commitment to helping them achieve their personal goals, and achieve success in their school assessments and exams. We've been listed three years in a row as one of the Fastest Growing Startups by the Australian Financial Review, and we're continuing to multiply year over year!

It's our vision to reshape education, starting with tutoring.

What You’ll Do

Be the primary contact for students and parents, answering queries and solving problems with empathy and clarity.

Build lasting relationships - keeping families engaged and feeling supported all year.

Stay proactive - regularly checking in with families to track progress, gather feedback, and offer additional support.

Support student success - help families navigate our resources, connect them to the right teams, and ensure they get maximum value.

Liaise with tutors - work with academic teams to resolve class or content issues quickly.

Collect insights - turn parent and student feedback into ideas to improve how we do things.

Escalate issues when needed, ensuring problems are resolved fairly and fast.

What You’ll Bring

Customer centricity - this could be from your prior call-centre experience, retail, reception, customer service, or operations.

Empathy and communication skills - you listen, explain, and connect with ease.

Organisation and attention to detail - you keep track of many families without dropping the ball.

Proactivity and ownership - you don’t wait to be asked, you take initiative.

Energy and enthusiasm - you bring positivity and confidence to every interaction.

Background in VCE (preferred) - so you understand the student journey.

Full-time availability - ability to work 5 out of 7 days, including weekends (38 hours per week)

What You’ll Get

Competitive pay for a high-impact role.

Comprehensive training - from systems to parent conversations, you’ll be set up to succeed.

Growth opportunities - with a path into leadership in a fast-growing scale-up.

Supportive benefits - EAP, birthday leave, lifestyle perks.

Work that matters - directly shaping the experience of students and families.

Culture & community - team dinners, events, and a vibrant, people-first environment.

We’re ambitious, bold, and passionate about reshaping education in Australia. Join us and be the person who makes sure students thrive and families feel supported every step of the way.

If you’re ready to turn relationships into impact and make a lasting difference, Contour is ready for you.
