Cherbourg Regional Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Service (CRAICCHS) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Organisation. CRAICCHS aims to provide accessible, high-quality, community-controlled primary health care and social and emotional wellbeing services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of the South Burnett.

The Position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Manager Primary Health Care to lead our Primary Health Care Division. This role is responsible for driving service delivery excellence, ensuring robust governance processes, and advancing continuous quality improvement across clinical services. The position oversees forward planning, resource management, and accreditation, while building strong partnerships with community-controlled, government, and mainstream health services. Based in Cherbourg and across the South Burnett region.

Key Duties

Provide high-level strategic planning, operational advice, and recommendations to the Executive Management Team.

Oversee service delivery evaluation and embed continuous quality improvement across the Primary Health Care portfolio.

Lead the development and implementation of annual work plans aligned with the organisational strategic plan.

Manage compliance with national key performance indicators (nKPIs) and contractual funding requirements.

Maintain AGPAL accreditation and work towards ISO and other industry standards, in partnership with the Executive Manager Medical Services.

Oversee Medicare processes, MBS, PIP and SIP revenue strategies, and ensure compliance with Medicare Services Australia requirements.

Analyse and interpret health data to inform service planning and report to internal, external, and government stakeholders.

Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health stakeholders and other partners.

Provide leadership, recruitment, and support to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a positive and culturally safe workplace culture.

Represent the organisation at meetings, conferences, and workshops.

Essential

Bachelor’s degree level qualification Primary Health Care, or related field.

Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role.

Demonstrated experience in Commonwealth KPI’s and Medicare systems.

Strong people management experience.

Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families

Highly Desirable

Experience working with an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community health organisation

Previous experience working with Best Practice software
