About the role
We are seeking an experienced College Nurse to join our dynamic team at Scotch Oakburn College in Launceston, Tasmania. This is a replacement position for the remainder of the 2025 academic year with the opportunity of ongoing job-share arrangement in 2026. This part-time role (Monday to Thursday) during academic weeks is pivotal in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our students and staff, contributing to the overall success and care of our school community.
What you'll be doing
Providing first-aid and basic medical care to students and staff
Administering medication and managing student health records
Collaborating with parents, teachers and other healthcare professionals to support student health and development
Promoting health education and wellbeing initiatives throughout the college
Maintaining a safe and hygienic health centre environment
Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and college policies
What we're looking for
Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration
Minimum 3 years' experience in a community, maternal or child health nursing role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with students, parents and staff
Excellent organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple priorities
Commitment to promoting a culture of health and wellbeing
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
