About the role

Don Medical Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Devonport, Tasmania on a part-time basis. As a Registered Nurse - General Practice, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to our diverse patient population.

What you'll be doing

Assisting our General Practitioners with clinical examinations and procedures

Administering medications, vaccinations, and other treatments under the direction of our medical team

Chronic disease care and coordination

Providing nursing care, health education, and emotional support to patients

Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records

Vaccine and cold chain management to Australian Standards

Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of coordinated, patient-centred care, including follow up, assistance with recalls

Assisting with in office Medical procedures, skin lesion removals, wound care, ECGs, spirometry etc

Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures

What we're looking for

Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a general practice or community healthcare setting (preferred)

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team

Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (Best Practice Software)

Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

Nurse Immuniser certified (preferred)

Wound care training (preferred)
