Our client, a Local Government Organisation based in Western Sydney area are currently looking for a qualified Light and Heavy Vehicle Workshop mechanic to assist with maintenance of Local Government assets. I.e. Fleet, Waste Trucks, Plant, Equipment.
Light Vehicle Mechanics may also be considered for the role
The position is 38 hours per week (plus overtime), Monday to Friday, based in Fairfield
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience in mechanical repair of heavy plant, trucks and equipment (Desired)
Experience in tyre fitting and repairs
Experience in driving Heavy Rigid Trucks
Experience in welding
Ability to undertake administrative tasks such as maintaining records and ordering parts/services
White card
A Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Authority (MVRIA) Motor Mechanic Certificate is also required
A Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Automotive Certification Required
Previous Government experience - Highly desirable
