Are you a qualified Maintenance Electrician with experience in automation and working in manufacturing enviroments? We're currently working with a major player in the food manufacturing space that's going through an exciting growth phase - and they're looking for someone like you to join their team at their large-scale production facility in Melbourne's northern subrubs.

The Role:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and automation processes across the site. You'll play a critical role in reducing downtime, optimising equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a highly automated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance
Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and plant machinery.
Diagnose faults in motors, switchgear, sensors, and power distribution.
Ensure compliance with Australian electrical safety standards and internal protocols.
Automation & Control
Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Support control system upgrades, calibrations, and commissioning activities.
Collaborate with the engineering team to drive efficiency and reliability improvements.
Documentation & Safety
Keep accurate records of maintenance work and system changes.
Assist with electrical schematics, drawings, and compliance documentation.
Promote and adhere to WHS practices and participate in risk assessments.
What You'll Bring:
A-Grade Electrical Licence
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Hands-on experience with PLCs and automation systems
Strong diagnostic skills and understanding of industrial electrical systems
Ability to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot VSDs, motor controls, and sensors
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
