The Role
We’re looking for experienced Automation Maintenance Electricians to join our team, in a casual capacity, to support various Melbourne manufacturers.

This will be for casual shift coverage for Day/Afternoon/Night shifts

$60 per hour plus casual loading

You choose when and where you work or how many days a week you work

May suit semi-retired maintenance electricians

Key Responsibilities

Electrical fault-finding and breakdown repairs on automated machinery

Preventative maintenance on motors, drives, conveyors, and packaging lines

Modifications, installation and assembly of new and existing machinery

Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings

Work with PLC systems, instrumentation and safety control systems

Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility

Support factory performance and equipment reliability

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A current A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria)

5+ years experience as an Industrial Electrician

2+ years experience in a food manufacturing environment

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities

Experience with high-speed packaging machinery (vertical baggers, flow wrappers, etc.)

Experience with PLCs, VSDs, and automation systems

A proactive and safety-conscious mindset

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The ability to thrive under pressure and work independently

Experience or willingness to work in meat processing or abattoir environments is essential
