We are seeking an experienced Reporting & BI Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Performance and Reporting team, you will play a critical role in providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive financial performance.

Job Purpose:

The Reporting & BI Business Partner will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI and Technology One to communicate business activity and financial performance
• Analyse data from various systems to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
• Support the development of financial forecasts and management of financial resources
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop individual reports that meet their requirements
• Maintain high levels of technical expertise and stay up to date with emerging best practices in business analytics and financial performance

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: At least 3 years' experience in business analytics, business performance reporting, or a related field
• Data Analysis and Insights: Demonstrated experience in transforming data into business insights and communicating complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced SQL skills: Ability to write complex SQL queries, including data modeling and data warehousing concepts
• Experienced in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
• Advanced Excel skills
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable:

• CPA or equivalent accreditation
• Experience working in NSW Government
• Detailed knowledge of relevant accounting standards, legislative and audit requirements
• Project management or system administrator experience
