Your opportunity
Join Mission Australia as a Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Lead and play a vital role in supporting Participants and their families to live safer and more secure lives.
In this critical and rewarding role, you will work across multiple programs and sites, providing specialist guidance and hands-on support to Participants experiencing or at risk of family, domestic, and sexual violence. - Work directly with Participants and families experiencing FDSV, supporting their safety, stability, and wellbeing through person-centred case management.
- Collaborate with case managers and frontline staff to build knowledge and skills in responding to FDSV and supporting Participants effectively.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain resources, training, and programs that increase understanding of FDSV for staff, Participants, and the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and community stakeholders to enhance outcomes for Participants.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on program outcomes, contributing to continuous improvement, quality assurance, and compliance with relevant frameworks and legislation.
- Advocate for Participants' needs, represent Mission Australia at interagency meetings, and participate in community networks to strengthen partnerships and supports.
Requirements for success
- Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, community services, or a related field, with experience in family, domestic, and sexual violence.
- Strong knowledge of FDSV dynamics, drivers, and impacts, including trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and intersectional approaches.
- Experience in providing person-centred case management and developing safety plans for Participants experiencing complex needs.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multi-site programs, building relationships with internal teams, Participants, and external stakeholders.
- Experience delivering training, workshops, or resources to build staff and community capacity in responding to FDSV.
