The Role
The Romeo Scheduling Team Leader is responsible for the management of the Romeo Group flying program to satisfy the training and operational requirements of the key stakeholders located at the Romeo Main Operating Base. These requirements include the management and allocation of all assigned resources to ensure system objectives are achieved in the progression of training and operational demands. This role requires excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with senior managers to determine priorities, and resolve complex scheduling challenges in a dynamic environment. The Romeo Scheduling Team Leader will work in a small, fast-paced team, led by the Romeo Group Force Generation Officer and be responsible for the supervision and management of the Romeo Scheduling Training Co-ordinator.
About our Team
The Romeo Group coordinates delivery of the MH-60R capability to achieve the activities directed by higher Commands within the Royal Australian Navy. The Force Generation Cell is a small team within the Romeo Group that works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the allocation and provision of resources within the Romeo Group to achieve these tasks.
This includes the scheduling of operational flying training for Pilot, Aviation Warfare Officer, and Sensor Operators at 725 Squadron as well as development flights for qualified aircrew from across the Romeo Group. The Force Generation Cell manage short and long-term commitments, up to and including the development of a daily flying program for the Main Operating Base.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
- Well organised, detail orientated and results driven, capable of delivering accurate and reliable training schedules while meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to quickly analyse and resolve complex scheduling conflicts to ensure optimal utilisation of resources to meet priorities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including senior managers, department heads, and team members, to understand Romeo Group requirements and constraints.
- Utilise advanced scheduling software to enhance productivity and accuracy in schedule creation and maintenance.
- Prepare detailed reports and analysis on scheduling progress, providing insights and recommendation for process improvement.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with team members to update and adjust schedules and priorities as required.
- Foster a positive team-orientated work environment, promoting open communication and cooperation among team members.
- Adhere to organisational policies and guidelines while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Advanced ICT skills, in particular Microsoft based computing software, and experience with scheduling programs.
