About the role
Are you passionate about supporting the success of apprentices and enhancing vocational education outcomes? Do you thrive in a dynamic, high-volume environment with diverse stakeholders and challenges? Training Services NSW is looking for a dedicated and proactive Training Advisor to join our regional team and help deliver high-quality VET programs across a large and varied region.
- Act as a key point of contact for employers, apprentices, and stakeholders, providing expert advice and support throughout the apprenticeship lifecycle.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations by employers, students, and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
- Ensure all apprenticeship contracts and training programs meet departmental policy, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide up-to-date information and guidance on skills recognition and related vocational education processes.
- Administer a variety of VET programs and initiatives, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct presentations and engagement sessions to promote Training Services NSW programs and services.

About you -
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mediate and liaise effectively with employers, apprentices, and service providers.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise conflicting duties.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong understanding (or experience) in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector is highly desirable.
- Capacity to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance and high standards of service.
- A willingness and ability to travel within the region, including overnight stays as required.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
