The Role

We're looking for a Network Engineer with strong technical grounding and a passion for security. You'll play a central role in maintaining and enhancing our network environment, with a focus on Aruba (APE) wireless, firewall management (Palo Alto preferred), and posture/security management.

This is a hands-on role in a collaborative team where your work directly supports the delivery of critical services to the community.

What You'll Do

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) across multi-vendor environments.
• Strengthen our security posture through proactive monitoring, patching, and posture management practices.
• Lead the administration and support of Aruba APE wireless infrastructure.
• Manage and enhance firewall environments (Palo Alto ideal, experience with Fortinet/Cisco also valued).
• Provide network troubleshooting, analysis, and performance optimisation.
• Contribute to project delivery, security uplift initiatives, and documentation.

About You

You'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise networking and security.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba APE wireless solutions (essential).
• Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls (highly desirable).
• Broader vendor experience (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Juniper etc.) welcomed.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless.
• Familiarity with security posture management, monitoring tools, and automation.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to balance BAU and project work.
