About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hotel/Motel Manager to join our team at the Grand Hotel in Wellington, NSW. This is a contract role, providing the opportunity to lead and manage all operations of our hotel/motel. As Hotel/Motel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the hotel/motel, while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

What you'll be doing

Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance

Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and profitability

Manage and lead a team of hotel staff, providing coaching, training and performance management

Monitor and analyse hotel/motel performance metrics to identify areas for improvement

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and brand standards

Foster a positive and customer-focused hotel/motel culture

Liaise with vendors and suppliers to optimise hotel/motel operations

What we're looking for

Proven track record as a Hotel/Motel Manager or General Manager in the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests, staff and stakeholders

Financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control

In-depth knowledge of hotel/motel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, F&B and maintenance

Proficiency in using hotel/motel management software and data analysis tools

A customer-centric mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
