About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who’s ready to step up — someone with strong public practice experience, confident tax knowledge, and a natural flair for client engagement and team mentoring.

Your Key Responsibilities

Manage Your Own Portfolio – Deliver expert advice to SMEs, professionals, and high-net-worth clients.

Lead Tax & Compliance Work – Prepare and review financials, BAS, tax returns, and assist with tax planning strategies.

Client Relationships – Become a trusted advisor, not just a service provider.

Mentor a Small Team – Support and review the work of junior and offshore staff.

Drive Workflow Efficiency – Champion best practices using Xero, XPM, and cloud tools.

Liaise with Regulators – Confidently engage with the ATO, ASIC, and SRO on behalf of clients.

About You

4+ years in public practice accounting

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or similar

Advanced user of Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and cloud platforms

Strong knowledge of Australian tax law & compliance

Great communicator who can build client trust and lead a team

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver quality outcomes

Bonus If You Have:

Experience with SMSFs

Skills in process automation or advisory services

Exposure to MYOB and QuickBooks
