About the Role
We’re looking for dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in Rockhampton, providing person-centred care to a customer living in a well-established 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) home. This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to build consistent relationships, encourage independence, and support someone to live the life they choose in a stable and nurturing environment. You'll assist with daily living tasks, community access, personal care, and emotional well-being, all while working closely with a team that values quality, compassion, and respect. We have a variety of shifts available, with priority given to afternoon and sleepover shifts.

Your Key Responsibilites:
• Encourage independence and support participation in meaningful routines
• Deliver tailored support aligned with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
• Assist with personal care, medication, and daily tasks (from full assistance to prompting)
• Supporting community access services (external CAS most days, with some in-home CAS)
• Maintaining accurate documentation including daily progress notes and incident reports

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours
• Knowledge of PBS strategies and chemical restraint protocols (highly regarded)
• Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster, particularly afternoons and sleepovers
• Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach

Essential Requirements:
• Valid driver’s licence (P2 or open)
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
• QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
