Brand New Centre | Located in White Gum Valley | Salary between $75,000 - $80,000 plus the additional 10% Worker Retention Grant (dependant on experience)

Take the next step in your leadership journey and help shape a brand-new early learning community. Join Tall Tree Early Learning White Gum Valley, part of the highly respected Tall Tree and Atlantis Group, and step into a full-time leadership role where your passion, skills, and vision will make a meaningful impact from day one.

Our purpose-built centre opens its doors on 13th of October 2025, with four beautiful and spacious rooms designed to inspire wonder, creativity, and a genuine love of learning. We are seeking a confident and experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join us from 22th of September 2025, supporting the induction of our foundation team and preparing for the exciting launch of this centre.

About the Role

As Assistant Centre Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the culture of our new centre. We are looking for someone who is not only experienced, but also warm, approachable, and a true people person. You will have a natural ability to listen and support others, while being highly organised, process-driven, and confident in managing the operational side of the service.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Centre Manager to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of passionate educators with kindness, clarity, and encouragement.
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with families and the wider community, ensuring every interaction is meaningful and positive.
  • Maintain compliance, oversee documentation, and drive high-quality programming with attention to detail.
  • Confidently step into the Centre Manager role when required, providing steady and reliable leadership.

This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, perfect for someone who thrives on balancing people leadership with task management, while remaining deeply connected to the children and team on the floor.

About You – The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an Assistant Centre Manager who brings both professional expertise and personal warmth to the role. This is not just a position for someone who can manage processes; it is an opportunity for a leader who genuinely cares about people, thrives on building strong connections, and has the confidence to guide others with empathy and clarity.

To be considered for this role, you will hold at least a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) and have a minimum of one year’s experience in a leadership or 2IC position within an early learning environment.

  • Leads with warmth and professionalism: approachable, kind, and respectful, with the ability to create a welcoming environment for both families and staff.
  • Is highly organised and process-driven: able to manage the daily operations of a busy centre with precision, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and smooth workflows.
  • Inspires and supports others: confident in coaching and mentoring educators, encouraging reflective practice, and building team culture through collaboration and trust.
  • Listens deeply and communicates effectively: a true people person who values different perspectives, addresses challenges constructively, and celebrates team achievements.
  • Balances tasks with relationships: able to confidently handle administration, documentation, and compliance while remaining visible, approachable, and connected on the floor.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment: resilient, calm under pressure, and proactive in solving problems before they become barriers.
  • Is passionate about quality education and care: committed to creating enriching, child-centred learning experiences, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the EYLF.
  • Is future-focused: motivated to grow into greater leadership responsibilities, with an ambition to one day step into a Centre Manager role, supported by structured training and mentoring.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who will set the tone of the centre from the very beginning ensuring families feel valued, educators feel supported, and children are surrounded by a community that nurtures their growth and inspires their curiosity.
