We are currently seeking a skilled SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to join our client’s team in the western suburbs. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining SMT machinery, performing assembly tasks, conducting rework, and using hand soldering techniques. You will ensure that all electronic components are assembled to the highest standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor SMT machines to assemble components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Perform assembly, rework, and hand soldering of components when necessary, ensuring the highest quality standards.

Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet product specifications and quality requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the SMT machines or assembly processes.

Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and report any production issues.

Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

Solder/Inspect/Rework components down to 0402 size

Experience working with RF devices/PCB’s (desirable)

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as an SMT Operator or similar role within the electronics manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of SMT assembly processes, including machine setup, rework, and hand soldering techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting.
