About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at Mr Banks Brewing Co in Seaford, Victoria. This is a part-time role working 32 hours per week over 4 days, Thursday - Sunday. You will be responsible for supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing the smooth running of our popular brewery and taproom. Option for FULL-TIME hours for the right applicant. Knowledge and/or passion for craft beer would be advantagous!

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Venue Manager with the day-to-day operations of the brewery and taproom

Monitoring and ensuring exceptional customer service standards

Supervision of the front-of-house team including staff training, on-boarding and empowerment.

Handling cash management, inventory control and reporting

Assisting with event planning, promotion and execution

Ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety regulations

Providing leadership and support to the front-of-house team

What we're looking for

At least 2 years' experience in a similar assistant/venue management role within the hospitality industry

Strong communication, customer service and leadership skills

Proficiency in cash handling, inventory management and reporting

Knowledge of liquor licensing and health and safety regulations

Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays

A passion for craft beer and the hospitality industry.

Cool, calm and collected when under pressure with a deep understanding of great hospitality & service.
