About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, your role is to support the Venue Manager in leading service and maintaining DOC’s signature hospitality. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Supervision: Overseeing the team during service to ensure sections are covered, standards are met, and the venue runs smoothly.
Supporting Service Flow: Keeping the floor efficient, making sure guests are comfortable, and helping the team stay on track.
Setting an Example: Leading by example with consistency, positivity, and professionalism in every interaction.
Training & Guidance: Assisting with staff training using DOC’s standardised service guidelines to maintain quality across the team.
Guest Connection: Being present on the floor, welcoming guests, and resolving small issues with a friendly, hands-on approach.
Embodying the Brand: Representing DOC’s culture of authentic Italian hospitality with both staff and guests.
Following Systems: Using DOC’s standard operating procedures to manage service, cash-ups, and shift reports.
Daily Tasks: Opening or closing the venue, checking sections, and keeping things clean, organised, and guest-ready.
Link in the Chain: Acting as the go-between for staff and Venue Managers, passing on updates and feedback.
