About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and passionate Registered Nurses who are interested in opportunities on a casual basis.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, private emergency services and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
Salary range: $41.73-$53.53 per hour + 25% Casual Loading + 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Casual Registered Nurse on the Hospital POOL roster, you will work within many clinical areas of Mater Hospital Rockhampton to support the needs of staffing in that area. You will need to hold a range of experience and skills along with strong patient-centric care approach. You will gain key experience in a rural area working with diverse patients with great autonomy and variety, becoming an integral member of your community and expanding your clinical expertise.
About you

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions
- Digital and computer proficiency, extending to Microsoft 365 applications and proven ability to learn new systems
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
- Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Consistent availability to complete shifts at short notice and be available to work across a 24/7 roster including overnights, weekends and public holidays in accordance with the roster
