About the role
Fortify Nurse Clinic is looking for one motivated Registered Nurse, to provide holistic and person-centred clinical nursing care to our consumers.
This Registered Nurse position is a clinic-based role, attending to appointments with-in our clinic and occasionally within the community when required.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care, supported by our internal nurse educators, RN colleagues and an experienced CNC.
This clinic/office-based role may require visiting clients in the community. This is a Part-time role, Tuesday to Friday, with hours spread between 08:30am and 16:30pm.
There is NO clinical on-call requirement for this role or rotating rosters. However, career advancement opportunities into case management and clinical management are available after time in the service.
Although this role includes attending to clinical procedures such as wound care, catheter changes, clinical assessments and welfare checks, a large part of this role is writing and submitting in-depth clinical assessments.
The role of the Registered Nurse, using a range of modalities including in-clinic appointments, telehealth and occasional home visits, will:
Conduct funded assessments
Administer medications and vaccinations
Provide advanced wound care
Provide education to clients and other stakeholders
Conduct SPC/IDC changes
Conduct comprehensive health assessments
Complete comprehensive progress notes.
Assist nurse educators with providing education.
Liaise with GPs, care coordinators and allied health.
Assist with supervising nursing students on placement.
Provide clinical advice and expertise through delegation of care to support workers, AINs and ENs
Attend to medical emergencies and provide first aid as required.
Participate in clinical education portfolio development - become a specialist in something that interests you!
Recommend products and consumables as required during assessments.

Selection Criteria
Bachelor of Nursing
Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
At least 2 years paid clinical experience as a RN
Knowledge and ability to select and advise on clinical products
Experience within a general practice (GP) highly advantageous
Knowledge of NDIS/Aged Care Packages/DVA highly advantageous
First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to acquire)
National Police Check (or willingness to acquire)
Worker Screening check (or willingness to acquire)
Fantastic phone manner
Proven technological, communication and time management skills.
