DMC Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a prominent and established Australian Financial Services firm in their search for a Financial Accountant to join its team. This role requires 5 days per in their CBD offices.

This newly created role reporting to the Financial Controller will support financial reporting, tax compliance, facilitating the year-end audit, ad hoc project work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end activities and support regular reporting cycles
• Preparing income tax calculations, annual tax returns, journals
• Ensuring tax compliance responsibilities i.e. GST and BAS
• Prepare and submit the annual FBT return, monthly Business Activity Statements, tax instalments, and PAYG payments
• Manage payroll tax compliance, ensuring obligations are met in full and monthly/annual returns are submitted accurately
• Coordinate and oversee both internal and external audit processes to ensure they run smoothly and meet all requirements.
• Support the wider finance team on ad hoc projects

Key Skills:

• CA/CPA Qualified or studying.
• 2+ years of experience within Financial Accounting
• Financial Services experience valuable, but not required
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Clear communication skills with an ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
