Retail Maintenance/Facilities Manager, Permanent, $75,000 - $80,000 + super + phone allowance + bonus + bens
Based in Toowoomba, this entry-level role offers a solid foundation for career progression to develop within Facilities/Operations Management, Retail Shopping Centres and a private property group with an established network of Shopping Centres throughout SE Queensland. The role would suit someone customer-facing who can carry out minor renovation/maintenance work (Trade or manufacturing background preferred) and has experience managing a retail store or something similar, i.e proficient computer skills as well as a good level of numeracy, analytical and budgeting skills (Excel) . Your experience will grow exponentially from here and open many doors in your future career.
Reporting to and supported by the Centre Manager and Regional Operations Manager, you will supervise contractors, manage and attend to the maintenance program.
Eventually, you will become the site's maintenance, operations, security and safety custodian, where the role will draw upon your ability to drive the centre brand through presentation, keeping the environment safe and clean and building strong, robust relationships with contractors, tenants, stakeholders and customers.
You will liaise with and oversee service contractors and trades that are engaged to maintain the Centre, i.e. air conditioning, security, vertical transport, fire and emergency equipment, electrical systems, pest control, etc.
We are looking for a candidate with the right approach and dedication, a strong willingness to learn, adaptability, and a proactive work ethic. While maintenance and supervisory experience is a plus, motivation and drive are more important. This role will open the door to further opportunities within the Operations team. Must haves:
Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety process
