The Strategic Infrastructure Consultant works in a dynamic and collaborative environment and contributes to strategic planning and management of SAPOL's leased and owned built asset statewide portfolio, ensuring fit for purpose infrastructure aligned with the agency's strategic and operational priorities. The Strategic Infrastructure & Assets Unit provides support to a complex statewide policing facilities portfolio through developing infrastructure policies and strategic plans, and planning, development and submission of capital investment initiatives to meet future demand.
Key responsibilities include ensuring SAPOL's commercial portfolio is proactively maintained with high quality leasing outcomes, and owned land management activities are undertaken in line with government policies. The role provides critical analysis and input into SAPOL's future infrastructure strategy and asset management strategy, managing SAPOL's strategic accommodation activity, statewide portfolio planning, financial analysis and assessment of operational police facility requirements, business case preparation and recommendations. Activities include identifying future strategic relocations, negotiating complex operational leases, leading land management, acquisition and divestment activities, providing strategic advice related to accommodation spatial occupancy, driving best practice outcomes for the commercial infrastructure portfolio including incorporation of sustainability measures, and other tasks as assigned from time to time.
PASB is comprised of seven units: Capital Projects Unit, Major Projects Unit, Strategic infrastructure & Assets Unit, Contracts, Impound & Armoury Unit, Strategic Operations Section: Fleet & Property Stores, and Business Management Unit.
Special Conditions
The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO7 - $108,109 - $116,864 per annum.
