Firbank Grammar is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator who is not only creative and tech-savvy, but also organised, reliable, and able to follow established processes. This role requires someone who can work in a dynamic team, manage multiple priorities, and ensure all communications reflect the school’s style guide and values. We are looking for someone who loves working with people, is willing to learn and can adapt if priorities change.

Position Details: This is a full-time, fixed-term role with a November 10th start (flexible for the right candidate). This position is tenured between November 10th, 2025, and November 20th, 2026, due to a staff member on leave.

This position is based at our Senior School Campus in Brighton, and from time-to-time includes travel to our Sandringham Junior Campus. The standard working hours of this position are 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm (flexible based on the candidate's preference).

Total package: $70,000+ per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Support all areas of Firbank Grammar, including 3 x campus, events, departments and campaigns.

Ability to craft succinct compelling messages to resonate with parents.

Plan, create, and schedule content for the school’s eNews and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). Monitor and report on results.

Capture photos and short videos of school activities and events as required

Download, shortlist and save photos, ensuring they meet photo permissions.

Create and edit videos to promote the school.

Compile and update publications and flyers

Make / schedule updates to the School App

Utilise website CMS to conduct minor edits to the website.

Actively listen to build strong relationships with stakeholders

Review the school calendar, attend staff briefings and contribute to team meetings.

Provide assistance to the Marketing and Communications Manager in undertaking design work, video editing, co-ordinating communications and invoicing. Provide special project support as requested.

Follow brand guidelines and internal approval processes for all communications.

Qualifications and experience:

A relevant degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, Events or Design.

Computer skills/experience are essential, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with editing software such as InDesign, Premier Pro, Photoshop, and Canva preferred.

Experience with Meta Business Suite, WordPress CMS, Campaign Monitor, managing data, financial spreadsheets and processes will be highly regarded.

Creative eye for good photography and videos. Basic Photography and Videoing skills (could also be learnt on the job).

Current Working with Children Check (employee) (or willingness to obtain).

Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
